Structural Steel Drafter-Detailer

Job duties and responsibilities:

• Prepare engineering designs and drawings

• Develop and prepare design sketches

• Prepare construction specifications, costs and material estimates

• Write technical reports

• Write specifications

• Complete documentation packages and drawing sets

• Examine drawings for conformity and errors

• Operate computer-assisted design (CAD) software and drafting workstations – Advanced Steel, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Microstation and Point Cloud Design

Terms of employment: Full-time position, 3 years

Language: English

Salary: $42.07/hr

Working hours: 40 hr/wk, Mon-Fri 8am – 4:30pm

Requirements/Skills:

• Completion of Secondary School (High School)

• Related experience 1 year to less than 2 years. Area of work experience: Design. Area of specialization: structural metal or steel

• Computer-aided design (CAD)

• Attention to detail

• Organization skills
