RiverLand Federal Credit Union is seeking a Full-Time Network Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have exemplary organizational, problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills. This position will be located at our Main Office at 639 Loyola Ave New Orleans, LA 70113 and will be expected to work Monday - Friday, up to 40-hours per week. This position may include weekend work and work outside or normal business hours.

The IT Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining the networks, servers, operating systems, and communication links. Manage the resources dedicated to supporting office automation, PCs and end-user equipment, network and systems security and database administration.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Provides primary support for the company's network and PC/LAN servers which includes planning, implementing, maintaining and troubleshooting network and system hardware and software.

Participates in short and long-range planning for the department to select and utilize appropriate technologies to meet the evolving needs of the company and its members.

Oversees the maintenance of hardware and software at the company's disaster recovery site and provides technical support for disaster recovery testing.

Directs significant special projects as required

Provides secondary support to Help Desk.

Required to complete annual in-services to include critically identified areas: BSA, Compliance, Security and Workplace Conduct. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

3 - 5 years’ of similar or related experience required.

A bachelor's degree, or achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g. information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).

Previous experience in a financial institution is a plus.

Previous data processing experience including managing networks, PC’s, data communications, mainframe and PC programming and data organization.

Technical planning, project management and supervisory experience.

Ability to discuss technical issues effectively with other data processing professionals as well as non-technical users.

Demonstrates analytical and problem-solving skills.

Working knowledge of Windows operating system.

Ability to work and travel independently and use general office equipment, give speeches and make presentations.

Must be legally authorized to work in the US
