JOB SUMMARY

The Loader Operator is responsible for operating the front-end loader: a straight or articulated rubber-tired tractor-type vehicle equipped with front-mounted hydraulically powered bucket or scoop to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage or processing areas, to feed conveyors, hoppers, or chutes, and to load trucks around the facility in an efficient manner while adhering to all established safety policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Comply with company Safety Policies and Procedures

Operate front end loader in a safe and effective manner and follow all safety and company policies

Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on the front-end loader to ensure safe and efficient operation. Notify the Shift Supervisor of any safety or maintenance problems immediately

Load trucks with debris

Push sand to keep the piles in the assigned area

Load sand in truck hopper when needed

Perform the cleaning of slurry pump in the scheduled times

Refill Sealer and Plasticizer tanks as needed. Keep the area clean and report any leaks to Supervisor, safety and maintenance

Maintain the area clean and in safe and efficient condition

Collect all the data and paperwork required

All other duties as assigned by supervisor

Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Basic mathematical skills (i.e. ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide)

Good communication skills

Team player, reliable and high work ethic

Be able to obtain Front end loader and forklift driver license within the company policy

Able to read, comprehend and follow simple instructions, required

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

The employee should have the following:

High School Diploma or equivalent or training or certification in relevant skill or trade

1 - 2 years' experience in a relevant field

EQUIPMENT AND SPECIAL MATERIALS

Operating Front end loader and Forklift, mixers, air driven pumps, moisture balance and dust collector system

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee should possess the ability to:

Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable

Withstand exposure to temperature extremes inside or out

Prolong standing or in stationary position

Complete repetitive movements

Bend and/or twist

Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds

Ability to move or traverse about the facilities

Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions

Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision and hardhat protection)

El operador de cargador es responsable de operar el cargador frontal: un vehículo articulado o pesado tipo tractor con neumáticos de caucho, equipado con una cuchara hidráulica montada en la parte delantera para levantar y transportar materiales a granel hacia y desde áreas de almacenamiento o procesamiento, alimentar cintas transportadoras, tolvas o toboganes, y cargar camiones alrededor de la instalación de manera eficiente mientras se adhieren a todas las políticas y procedimientos de seguridad establecidos.

FUNCIONES ESENCIALES:

Cumplir con las políticas y procedimientos de seguridad de Boral

Operar el cargador frontal de una manera segura y efectiva y seguir todas las políticas de seguridad y de la compañía

Realizar comprobaciones diarias de seguridad y mantenimiento en el cargador frontal para garantizar un funcionamiento seguro y eficiente. Notificar al Supervisor de turnos de cualquier problema de seguridad o mantenimiento de inmediato

Cargar camiones con escombros

Empujar arena para mantener las pilas en el área asignada

Cargar arena en la tolva del camión cuando sea necesario

Realizar la limpieza de la bomba de lodo en los tiempos programados

Rellenar los tanques de sellador y plastificante según sea necesario. Mantener el área limpia e informar cualquier fuga al Supervisor, seguridad y mantenimiento

Mantener el área limpia y en condiciones seguras y eficientes

Recopilar todos los datos y documentos requeridos

Todos los demás deberes asignados por el supervisor

Tener una asistencia regular, puntualidad y flexibilidad de horario

CONOCIMIENTOS, HABILIDADES Y CAPACIDADES

Habilidades matemáticas básicas (es decir, capacidad de sumar, restar, multiplicar y dividir)

Buena capacidad de comunicación

Jugador de equipo, confiable y alta ética de trabajo

Capacidad para obtener licencia para operar cargador frontal y de montacargas conforme a la política de la compañía

Capacidad de leer, comprender y seguir instrucciones simples requeridas

EDUCACIÓN Y/O EXPERIENCIA

El empleado debe tener lo siguiente:

Diploma de Secundaria o equivalente o entrenamiento o certificado en habilidad o oficio relevante

1-2 Anos de experiencia relevante

EQUIPAMIENTO Y MATERIALES ESPECIALES

Operación de cargador frontal y carretilla elevadora, mezcladoras, bombas de aire, sistema de equilibrio de humedad y colector de polvo

REQUISITOS FÍSICOS ESENCIALES/ENTORNO DE TRABAJO

El empleado debe poseer la capacidad de:

Exponerse a sonidos o niveles de ruido que pueden ser incómodos

Resistir la exposición a temperaturas extremas internas o externas

Permanecer de pie por mucho tiempo o en posición estacionaria

Completar movimientos repetitivos

Inclinarse y/o girar

Levantar/mover/transportar artículos de hasta 50 libras

Capacidad para moverse o recorrer las instalaciones

Capacidad para trabajar alrededor del polvo, productos químicos y otras sustancias, y en diversas condiciones ambientales

Usar todo el equipo de protección personal requerido (protección auditiva, visual y casco)
