Position Summary

The Process Engineer is responsible for optimizing and developing injection molding processes in a fast-paced, ISO-certified manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role is critical to ensuring production efficiency, quality compliance, and minimal downtime through process improvements and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, technical expertise with injection molding equipment, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and optimize injection molding processes for both new and existing products

Set up, start up, and validate injection molding machines and related auxiliary equipment

Analyze and resolve process issues such as scrap reduction, cycle time optimization, and defect mitigation

Collaborate with tooling engineers, quality assurance, and production teams to ensure efficient manufacturing

Maintain accurate and detailed process documentation and standard operating procedures

Assist with mold trials, Design of Experiments (DOE), and capability studies

Train operators and technicians on best practices for molding processes

Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations

Work independently to troubleshoot and improve process performance

Experience, Qualifications, and Skills

Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in injection molding process engineering

Proficient with injection molding machines such as Arburg, Engel, Husky, Milacron, etc.

Solid knowledge of thermoplastic materials, mold design, and processing parameters

Familiarity with scientific molding principles and tools such as RJG or Decoupled Molding (preferred)

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Proficient in basic math and mechanically inclined

Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
