Position: Visualization and Documentation Analyst Status: Full Time

Location: Remote
Primary Goal: Markaaz Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to improve documentation within our Data Team and across the organization. The ideal candidate will quickly develop a deep understanding of our data processes and then map that understanding into an accessible framework without sacrificing technical specificity. In doing so, they will interact with many different parts of the company and provide team members with the tools to document work in their own specialty areas.
Responsibilities:
Develop internal dashboards and tools using PowerBI or Tableau (PowerBI preferred) that dynamically reflect our data processes.
Oversee the creation of documentation and support other team members in the documentation creation process.
Provide a framework, tools, and processes to facilitate the organization, creation, and regular updating of high-quality documentation.
Create an intuitive structure within Confluence to effectively organize documentation, leveraging extensive experience with the platform.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation templates.
Assist in writing requirements for product and data development initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product Management, and Operations, to both give and receive requirements and information.
Participate in the development and execution of data strategies and projects.
Assist in the data analysis process and present findings to customers and potential clients.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Education and Experience:
A bachelor's degree, in fields like technical writing, data analytics, computer science, or related areas.
Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Data Analyst or in a similar role.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in PowerBI (preferred), Tableau or another visualization tools.
Experience administering Confluence.
Proactively seeks clarification and asks questions in a constructive manner.
Excellent communication skills—the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely, as well as the ability to write differently for different audiences.
Strong understanding of database/data structures and methodologies.
Proven ability to create and maintain documentation frameworks.
Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Fluent in English.
Authorized to work legally for any employer in the United States.
Willingness to submit to any requested background checks.
Additional Preferred Skills:
Experience working with cross-national teams.
Familiarity with SaaS business operations.
Familiarity with SQL.
Familiarity with Python (Pandas and other libraries).
Familiarity with Snowflake.
Familiarity with GitLab.
