Summary
The research coordinator will work with and under the direction of the clinical Principal Investigator (PI) and the senior research coordinator on multiple ongoing research studies. While the Principal Investigator is ultimately responsible for the clinical trial and studies, the coordinator is responsible for the facilitation and coordination of the daily research activities and plays a critical role in the conduct of the study. The Coordinator will work collaboratively with the entire team, sponsors, laboratory technicians, monitors and study participants to ensure productivity and timely completion of studies. The research coordinator will interface with the City and County Tuberculosis teams, attending TB clinic and ensuring excellent engagement with Houston-area TB teams.
The position is part-time with benefits, and the working hours will be within standard business hours
Job Duties
Ensures site compliance with research protocols by reviewing all regulatory requirements to confirm implementation of appropriate methods, practices, and procedures for all research activities.
Provides accurate and timely data collection, documentation, entry, and reporting.
Interfaces with research participants to support efforts to determine eligibility and consenting of study participants according to protocol.
Interface with City and County Tb clinical teams for coordination of spirometry.
Upkeeps research database (Redcap).
Participate w/ PI and study team to identify and prioritize the development of systems and infrastructure to maintain research quality and compliance.
Performs other job duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or GED.
Three years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Medical degree preferred.
Public Health experience.
