The Town of Wellesley is seeking to hire a full-time (35 hours/week) Help Desk Technician. Under the general direction of the IT Director, the Help Desk Technician provides superior customer service to employees across all levels of Wellesleys municipal government. Youll work directly with users to resolve system problems, configure hardware and software, and provide systems training. Youll also assist the IT Departments Networking & Cybersecurity and Applications & Data teams with routine tasks like purchasing, inventory, installation, and access control.
What youll need... Minimum qualifications include a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline and three years of relevant experience; and experience with AV equipment or remote/hybrid meeting technology. The ideal candidate would also have knowledge of networking protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and LAN/WAN) and exposure to modern cybersecurity tools.
