POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Assembler to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the precision installation and tabbing of strain gauges onto load cell components. This includes the preparation and bonding under magnification, ensuring the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
Schedule: 5am-1:30pm(Monday-Friday)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Prepare metal surfaces of load cells for strain gauge bonding using cleaning, abrading, and solvent treatments.
Accurately align and bond strain gauges onto load cell bodies using industry-approved adhesives.
Inspect all connections for mechanical integrity, correct resistance, and signal continuity.
Route, secure, and insulate tabbing wires to prevent mechanical stress and ensure signal integrity.
Apply protective coatings (e.g., epoxy, polyurethane) to strain gauge areas to protect against environmental damage.
Maintain clean and organized workspaces in compliance with ESD, cleanliness, and safety protocols.
Use precision measuring tools and test equipment to verify component quality.
COMPETENCIES:
Attention to detail and concern for accuracy
Willing and able to follow written and verbal instructions and comply with existing standards and procedures
1–3 years of experience in micro-assembly, electronics manufacturing, or strain gauge installation strongly preferred.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school or GED equivalent.
Reading and verbal English communication skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position will be in a production shop with heavy machinery.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods while working with small components under magnification. Manual dexterity and good vision (corrected if needed) to handle microscopic work. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs occasionally.
