JOB SUMMARY

The Revenue Integrity Project Manager leads and manages revenue integrity projects, including charge capture and compliance initiatives. This role combines clinical expertise with project management skills to enhance charge capture, billing accuracy, and overall revenue integrity. The successful applicant will assist with maintaining the integrity of the Revenue Integrity program to ensure compliance with the following:

Medicare/Medicaid regulations

Managed Care contractual agreements

Applicable policies of UT Southwestern University Hospital

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Required

Education

Bachelor's degree in nursing

Advanced degree may be considered in lieu of years of experience on a year for year basis

Experience

5 years' experience in healthcare revenue cycle management

Licenses and Certifications

(RN) REGISTERED NURSE Upon Hire and

Lean Six Sigma Certification Upon Hire

Preferred

Education

Master's degree in nursing

Experience

3 years' experience managing technology related projects or consulting

Knowledge of healthcare payer requirements, denial management, and regulatory compliance

Licenses and Certifications

Microsoft office specialist Certification; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred Upon Hire

JOB DUTIES

Defines project scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with Senior Management and stakeholders to align business objectives

Develops full-scale project plans, timelines and associated communication documents

Liaises with stakeholders and team members to set expectations and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Assesses resource needs and negotiates with departmental managers for personnel allocation

Educate and collaborate with internal and external departments pertaining to clinical documentation, charge capture and overall revenue integrity.

Utilizes Epic tools for business case, KPIs, benchmarking and ongoing assessment of project success.

Collaborates with IT and Revenue Integrity Leadership to document key business objective, scope and tasks needed to enhance system functionality and automation in key revenue integrity areas.

Identifies and manages project dependencies, risks, and critical paths

Tracks progress against milestones, deliverables, KPIs. Provides status reports, create proposals, and presentations.

Troubleshoots issues, Problem solving, Educate, proactively manages scope changes.

Perform Audits as assigned

Defines and disseminates success criteria throughout the project lifecycle

Conducts post-project reviews, identifying successful and unsuccessful elements to improve future initiatives

Prepare reports and presentations for clinical leadership on project overcomes and financial performance.

Process Improvement and Best Practices

Develops tools and best practice for project execution and management

Identifies opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce manual interventions, and increase operational efficiencies.
