Ruby on Rails Developer
Location: Chantilly, VA
Work Type: Onsite
Remote Work: No Gridiron IT is seeking a Ruby on Rails Developer.
Responsibilities
5-8 years of experience working in software engineering, applications development and/or web application development and deployment
Active TS/SCI with required polygraph clearance
Ability to learn Ruby, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JQuery, Java, and other OO languages
Familiarity with GWT, ReactJS, Backbone JS, and Rails front-end technologies
Strong foundation in Linux
3- 5 years of experience as an UI-UX Designer or similar role
Ability to discuss and explain design options
Ability to troubleshoot Ruby on Rails applications, Apache HTTPS, SOLR, Linus, AWS
Comfortable with Git source code version control software
3-5 years of experience in Behavior and Test-Driven Development using Cucumber, RSpec, and supporting libraries
Familiarity with Agile/Scum methodology and experience working in an Agile team environment
Familiarity with working with data in varying encoding and character sets
Familiarity with ETL concepts
Familiarity with TRestful web services
Strong customer service skil
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Rake
SQL/DML/DDL
Automation-CI/CD (Jenkins)

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $100,000 - $175,000/YR (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
