Role Description
The Professional Surveyor will be responsible for conducting land surveys, boundary surveys, and construction surveys, as well as preparing survey reports and maps.
The role will involve working closely with the engineering team to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Conduct land surveys using GPS, 3D scanners, and traditional surveying methods to collect accurate data.
Prepare detailed survey reports and maps using AutoCAD and ArcGIS software.
Analyze survey data to determine property boundaries, topography, and other critical information for project planning.
Collaborate with civil engineers and other professionals to ensure compliance with regulations and project specifications.
Utilize GIS technology for mapping and spatial analysis as needed.
Perform calculations involving trigonometry to ensure precise measurements and data accuracy.
Maintain surveying equipment and ensure it is calibrated for optimal performance.
Provide technical support during the construction phase by verifying site conditions against survey data.
Requirements
Professional Surveyor (PS) in Michigan or currently licensed in another state.
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Surveying, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience in land surveying with proficiency in GPS technology, Topcon equipment, and 3D scanning techniques.
Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, GIS applications, and civil engineering principles.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform complex calculations involving trigonometry.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in various outdoor environments.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients.
Valid driver's license is required for travel to various job sites.
