Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician who can work autonomously and has extensive experience with a variety of electrical equipment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate compliance with all plant PPE requirements and safety protocols, while efficiently handling electrical tasks.
Responsibilities
Comply with plant PPE requirements and safety protocols.
Work autonomously while conducting routine electrical tasks.
Handle, operate, and safely use all types of electrical equipment, including motors, generators, transformers, rectifiers, switches, circuit breakers, relay, control equipment, communication equipment, electronic and fluid controls, power generation, transmission and distribution systems, instruments, panel boards, replacement parts and supplies, wire and cable, insulating materials, solder, paint, etc.
Use electrical maintenance tools and equipment safely and efficiently, including electrical testing and measuring equipment.Essential Skills
Proficiency in PLC, ladder logic, and troubleshooting ladder logic.
Ability to read ladder logic and identify electrical devices causing issues.
Experience with PLC5 RS Logic.
Knowledge of proximity switches, limit switches, VSD, and 480V motors (AC).
Ability to troubleshoot and wire 480V motors, proximity switches, limit switches, VSD, and RS Logic.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working on overhead cranes.
3-5+ years of experience in a heavy industrial environment.
Previous experience in Navy (nuclear), foundry, paper mill, or aluminum settings.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment is very heavy industrial, often dirty and non-climate controlled. Some areas can be extremely hot due to equipment and outdoor climate conditions. The maintenance team currently consists of 86 members, with a goal to increase to 106. The dress code requires steel toes, hardhat, safety glasses, ear plugs, and additional PPE depending on the department. We operate on a rotating shift schedule with shifts from 7am-7pm for days and 7pm-7am for nights. Straight day shifts run from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. Candidates must be comfortable with mandatory overtime as needed.

This is a Permanent position based out of Moncks Corner, South Carolina.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $78000.00/yr.
- 9.58% shift differential once they move onto swing shift (Approximately an extra 3/hr)
- They can test every 6 months to test into higher tech level and get pay increase
- Only non-union smelter facility in the U.S
- 401K matches 6%. Benefits start on Day 1 (Full medical, dental and vision coverage – very competitive benefits and multiple options. You can get full copy during interview)
- $300 tool stipend each year
- All uniforms and PPE are provide by company, including prescription safety glasses
- Free clinic onsite for check ups or any issues that happen during the day
- Quarterly bonus up to 10% of what they have made in total that quarter. This is based on company profitability. They currently are averaging 4-6% per quarter
o Quarter bonus is tied to attendance.

- If you work 6 days in a row, on your 6th day you are paid x1.75. If you work 7 days in a row, your 7th day is double pay

- Vacation: Start out immediately at 80 hours. 3 years, 152 hours, 5 years - 175 hours, 10 years - 192 hours, 15 years - 208 hour
