LHH is actively seeking motivated Collection Specialists to join a growing team in Sugar Land. This is a long-term contract opportunity with strong potential for permanent hire based on performance and team fit. Job Title: Collection Specialist
Location: Sugar Land, TX 77478
Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour (Nonexempt)
Employment Type: Contract-to-Perm
Work Schedule: Hybrid (initial training in-office, then in-office Tuesday through Thursday)
Work Hours: Choice of 7 AM – 4 PM, 8 AM – 5 PM, or 9 AM – 6 PM (some overtime may be required)

Collections/Billing Experience – At least 1 year of experience required.
Strong Interpersonal Skills – Ability to build rapport with internal stakeholders; communication is 80% via Teams and 20% by phone.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with internal teams to support collections strategies and resolution.
Manage lower-end delinquent accounts.
Make cosmetic invoice corrections (e.g., address updates, PO number additions).
Assist in reissuing invoices as needed.
Follow internal escalation processes including demand letters and potential legal referrals.
Utilize basic Excel skills and Oracle ERP (Oracle experience is a plus).
Receive comprehensive onboarding and support from seasoned team members.
