Job Title: Journeyman Machine Repair

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Journeyman Machine Repair professional to perform planned and preventative maintenance and repair of machinery and machinery-related equipment throughout the plant. This includes troubleshooting and repairing both simple and complex machine malfunctions related to electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic controls, utilizing tool room equipment to fabricate replacement parts when necessary, and installing, setting up, tearing down, removing, and relocating machinery as needed.

Responsibilities

Conduct planned and preventative maintenance on plant machinery, including CNC mills, lathes, broaching machines, and punch presses.

Troubleshoot and repair machine malfunctions, addressing electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic control issues.

Utilize tool room equipment to fabricate replacement parts as necessary.

Install, set up, tear down, remove, and relocate machinery throughout the plant.Essential Skills

Proficiency in machine repair, electrical systems, mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and blueprint reading.

Experience in CNC maintenance and troubleshooting.

Skill in welding, operating grinders, and press machines.Additional Skills & Qualifications

State Indentured Journeyman Machine Repair certification or 5+ years of hands-on machine repair experience in a machine shop.

Ability to set up and operate various equipment, including tool room equipment for part fabrication.

Physical ability to perform manual labor for 10+ hours daily, including moving 50lbs independently.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience in a machine shop environment, with a preference for experience in CNC, grinding, and press room equipment.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Training is conducted on the 1st shift for 90 days from 5 AM to 3 PM Monday to Friday and 5 AM to 10 AM on Saturdays. There is a high probability of transitioning to the 2nd shift from 3 PM to 1 AM Monday to Friday and 10 AM to 3 PM on Saturdays. Expect to work 45-55 hour weeks, with time and a half pay for 41-48 hours and double time for 49+ hours.

This is a Permanent position based out of Racine, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $79040.00/yr.
