CNC Multi-spindle Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate a CNC Index Multispindle for medium-high volume production. This role involves maintaining good housekeeping conditions, enforcing safety practices, and notifying the supervisor of any abnormal situations for corrective action. The machinist will also be responsible for making recommendations for improvements in work methods and completing any required documentation.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate a CNC Index Multispindle for medium-high volume production.
Notify supervisor of abnormal situations for corrective action.
Make recommendations for improvements in methods of performance of work.
Maintain good housekeeping conditions and enforce safety practices.
Complete and maintain any required documentation.
Learn the set-up and operation of unique machines and utilize problem-solving skills to keep them running.
Operate a Mori machine to take precise measurements and ensure quality.
Cross-train on various machines including Acme Gridley, Davenport, and New Britain.
Utilize tool grinding experience and understand GD&T and part drawings.Essential Skills
Experience with Index Multi-spindle machines
Strong Geometric Dimensional & Tolerances (GD&T) and math skills
Understanding of basic tabletop gages – Micrometers, Calipers, and bore micrometers
Ability to read machining CNC programs and understand common “G” and “M” codes
Experience with Siemens controls for lathe machine toolsAdditional Skills & Qualifications
Good verbal and written communication skills
Organization and time management skills
Problem-solving and analysis skills
Preferred experience with tool grinding

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
