The Role
We are seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst, Data & Analytics with a strong healthcare background and extensive experience in data modeling, business analysis, and project management. The ideal candidate will have the ability to extract, analyze, and understand complex datasets while acting as a key communicator between business stakeholders and technical teams. This role involves gathering business requirements, supporting Scrum processes, generate test scenarios, conduct QAT, facilitate business sign-off (UAT) and publish release notes.
Work You'll Do
Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams (data engineering, data science) to gather, evaluate, and document business requirements
Analyze business needs and translate them into detailed Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and technical specifications
Conduct data modeling and ensure that data is accurately extracted, understood, and aligned with business goals
Act as a bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring effective communication and understanding across departments
Develop and implement Business Systems Analysis (BSA) frameworks and methodologies, providing training and guidance to team members on best practices
Create and execute test plans, conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and ensure systems meet business requirements in Agile environments
Utilize BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) to analyze and present data, and work with ETL tools such as SSIS and Talend to manage data pipelines
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
5+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years in Business Systems Analysis (BSA) within data engineering and data science
Understanding of BSA frameworks, methodologies, and Agile project management
Exposure to BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, proficiency in SQL, data modelling, and ETL tools like SSIS, Talend
Experience with User Acceptance testing in an Agile environment
Willingness to engage in direct client interaction, including travel to client locations
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship
Preferred Requirements
Experience in training and coaching teams on BSA best practices
Knowledge of healthcare-specific regulations and data standards (e.g., HIPAA, HL7)
Experience with additional data visualization tools or cloud-based data platforms
Based in Chicago, IL and flexible to work from our Chicago office as needed

The estimated base salary range for this position is $125,000-$150,000. In addition to this base salary, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. This range is a part of a competitive, total compensation package together with our Employee Stock Ownership Plan, majority employer-paid benefits, and incentive pay for eligible roles. Please note that this range is a guideline and individual total compensation may vary due to numerous factors including but not limited to experience level, certifications, and other relevant business considerations.
