Job Summary:

Erewhon is seeking a talented Oracle APEX Software Engineer to join our growing technology team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing and maintaining custom applications that enhance our internal operations and customer experience. You'll work closely with various departments to translate business requirements into efficient and scalable Oracle APEX solutions, contributing to our continued growth and innovation.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement custom web applications using Oracle Application Express (APEX) to support various business functions.

Develop and maintain robust PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.

Optimize database schemas and queries for performance and efficiency.

Integrate Oracle APEX applications with existing systems and data sources.

Conduct thorough unit testing, integration testing, and system testing to ensure application quality.

Troubleshoot and resolve application issues promptly and effectively.

Create and maintain clear and concise technical documentation and user manuals.

Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development standards.

Stay current with the latest Oracle APEX features, best practices, and industry trends.

Utilize version control systems (e.g., Git) for collaborative development.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery. Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Proven experience in Oracle APEX development, including application design and implementation.

Strong proficiency in PL/SQL, SQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Familiarity with Oracle database administration concepts.

Understanding of web application development principles and best practices.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with RESTful web services.

Experience with version control systems, like Git. Preferred Skills:

Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Experience with Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS).

Experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g., jQuery, Angular, React).

Experience with Oracle APEX version 20 or higher, and Oracle Database 19c or higher.
