As our Engineering Manager II, you'll be instrumental in driving this vision forward, leading a talented team to deliver exceptional results and directly contribute to a projected €7.9 million revenue increase – a remarkable 125% year-over-year growth!

Your daily adventure at Storio: Leading the Charge in E-commerce Innovation

Drive tangible impact: Your team's work will directly translate into a smoother, more enjoyable buying experience for our customers, fueling significant revenue growth.

Shape a new team's identity: As part of a recently formed team, you'll play a key role in establishing our culture, processes, and ways of working.

Collaborate across borders: You'll work closely with colleagues in both Amsterdam and London, fostering a truly international and collaborative environment.

Champion data-driven decisions: We're committed to being best-in-class, leveraging data and A/B testing to continuously improve our mobile and desktop checkout experiences.

Partner with platform teams: You'll collaborate with platform teams to leverage their capabilities and with other customer-facing teams to create a seamless end-to-end customer journey.

How you make your mark:

Lead and inspire: You'll guide and mentor a team of 5 engineers (4 Software Engineers and 1 Principal Engineer), fostering their professional growth, autonomy, and high performance.

Build a winning team: You'll own the recruitment process, bringing in top talent to join our mission.

Cultivate a positive culture: You'll champion team health, creating an open and collaborative environment where feedback thrives.

Drive delivery: You'll partner with a Product Manager to define initiatives aligned with our goals, scope projects, and ensure timely and high-quality delivery.

Communicate effectively: You'll keep stakeholders informed at all levels, ensuring transparency and alignment.

Optimize for success: You'll continuously drive improvements in business value, efficiency, speed, and quality.

Navigate dependencies: You'll expertly manage cross-team dependencies to ensure smooth progress.

Champion technical excellence: You'll oversee key design decisions and promote best engineering practices within the software development lifecycle.

Balance quality and speed: You'll ensure technical health and quality without compromising on delivery timelines.

Foster innovation: You'll create opportunities for your team to explore new technologies and ideas.

Influence across the organization: You'll collaborate with other Engineering Managers and technical leaders to drive positive change.

Build partnerships: You'll establish strong relationships within and outside your domain to amplify your team's impact.

Lead standardization efforts: You'll contribute to in-domain efforts to improve people, process, and technology.

Manage resources: You'll own your team's people and tech budgets, aligning them with the value delivered to the business.

What you bring to the party:

Proven experience in building and leading high-performing e-commerce engineering teams.

A strong track record of navigating complex, enterprise-wide customer landscapes with competing priorities.

Experience in building platforms using agile methodologies in close collaboration with product managers and senior engineers.

Demonstrated ability to guide teams in making significant technical decisions impacting both customer-facing and platform teams.

Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences.

5-7 years of experience as an Engineering Manager.

Prior experience as a Software Engineer, providing you with a strong technical foundation.

Extra Kudos for Experience:

A degree in a STEM field (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics).

Knowledge of the e-commerce domain.
