Technical Writer - Maintenance Documentation

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our team in Jacksonville, FL. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and improving preventive maintenance (PM) documentation for food manufacturing equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented technical writer with industrial experience to make a significant impact on our operations.

What You'll Do

Capture manufacturer recommendations from equipment manuals

Review and improve current PM instructions and create new PMs accordingly

Develop quantitative and specific PM job plans in accordance with OEM recommendations

Collaborate with maintenance technicians and engineers to ensure accuracy

Create diagrams, charts, and other visual aids for maintenance manuals

Format documentation for easy CMMS integration

Organize and maintain documentation on equipment maintenance and repairs

What You'll Need

At least 2 years of experience as a Technical Writer in an industrial manufacturing environment

Strong technical knowledge and understanding of manufacturing equipment

Excellent writing and editing skills with meticulous attention to detail

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and content management systems

Familiarity with HTML, XML, or other markup languages

Knowledge of version control tools for documentation
