Job Description
Summary
Under the direction of the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor ensures the production of company products at the highest quality at the lowest possible cost, meeting company performance standards and customer specifications and delivery requirements, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Prioritize, schedule, and delegate work assignments, and directly supervise the systems integration and test functions to ensure the production of company products at the highest quality at the lowest possible cost, meeting company performance standards, and customer specification and delivery requirements, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Plan production schedules, for lines, review component parts, and sub-assembly availability against build schedule.
Review parts shortages with purchasing and adjust schedules as necessary.
Ensure the training of new and present employees in the processes and methods required to achieve the company’s standards for quality, and safety.
Participate in planning meetings, recommending space, personnel, and equipment requirements.
Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures and plan the repair of machines and equipment to minimize downtime.
Develop, recommend, and implement departmental policies and procedures, processes, and methods.
Continually evaluate processes and methods, recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment, performance, utilization of people, and quality of product.
Act as a technical resource to address and resolve inquiries and problems; analyze and resolve work problems and assist workers in solving work problems.
Maintain departmental supplies, tools, equipment, and order as necessary.
Ensure the completion of all required production paperwork, records, documentation, such as time cards, quality records, etc.
Approve PTO schedules within compliance of Attendance Policy.
Ensure compliance with departmental 5S standards and all safety and work rules and regulations.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Skills Requirements
Previous manufacturing experience with general knowledge of all areas within production.
Must have strong leadership skills and ability to lead by example.
Ability to read and interpret documents
Ability to effectively communicate and work well with coworkers.
Ability to multi-task and be flexible in a changing environment.
Education Requirements
High School education or equivalent.

Must be able to lift 50lbs. occasionally
Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs. force frequently.
Must be able to stand/walk for 10 hours.
Must be able to use hands to handle or feel; ability to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and ability to use a step stool.
Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
Specific vision abilities required include: close, distance, color, depth and peripheral vision
