Document/Mail Specialist

The Document/Mail Specialist provides administrative support to the department by accurately and promptly processing all mail and distribution services with a high level of customer service. The ideal candidate will possess an excellent work ethic, customer service skills, a professional demeanor, and a high degree for attention to detail. This role is designed to support the direct and indirect channels as business needs are recognized for our three credit union partners.

Location: Onsite- Canton, MD

TOP JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Receive/pick-up and sort, interoffice mail and deliver mail to respective departments on site.

Track courier and accountable items (FedEx, UPS, Certified Mail, etc.). Verify and keep records on incoming return mail and properly label and store by following established process.

Print, sort, shred member confidential letters, mail, checks and prepare for daily mail processes.

Research, read, and route unidentified and generic mail. Inform internal customers of proper procedures for outgoing mail.

Manage daily inventory, organizing, ordering supplies, coordinates, stages receipt of bulk mail and moving inventory.

Other responsibilities and opportunities:

Effectively and efficiently manage daily/weekly reporting requirement and communicate with management or internal partners as needed.

Manage all incoming and outgoing items in the assigned Department’s mailroom.

Collect, distribute, track and report lost, missing, and damaged mail or inventory.

Additional job-related projects and duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

1 year administrative/clerical experience, required.

Highly organized and able to prioritize workload.

Strong communication skills with ability to carry out directions verbally and written.

Basic understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Must be able to adjust quickly to shifting priorities.

Salary commensurate with experience with an expected range of $18.00/hour - $19.00/hour.

Work Environment- This position operates in a professional office environment. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filling cabinets and fax machines.
