Job Description

Title: CNC Programmer and Setter

Duration: Full Time/ Direct Hire

Location: Fairview, NY

Position Overview: Program and Set-Up various CNC machines.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Develop CNC Programs

2. Set up CNC machines.

3. Develop CNC machining process for new projects.

4. Maintain effectiveness and efficiency.

5. Apply the best strategy and techniques to obtain the most efficient and capable process.

6. Selecting appropriate cutting tools and work-holding tools for new projects

7. Provide training for machine operators for each new set up/process.

8. Update and modify outdated programs, implement the latest cutting techniques, and lean methodology.

9. Troubleshoot minor machine errors, program errors.

10. Maintain quality and safety control standards.

11. Successfully pass First piece inspection and deliver capable process to production team.

12. Effectively work with other departments to achieve the common goal

Mathematical Skills:

· Basic-moderate skills

· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

· Geometry

· Algebra

Physical Demands:

· Ability to lift 30lbs.

Necessary Education, Skills, and Competencies (including licensing and certifications):

· High school diploma or GED

· 2 years set up experience in house or previous employer.

· Programming: in-house training and trade school or minimum 2 years programming experience with Swiss Screw machines

· 5 years min Swiss Screw Machine operation experience

· In-house QSP training
