Responsibilities

The Operations Training Manager role designs, develops, and oversees delivery of construction operations training programs. This role will identify and assess training needs, measure program effectiveness, and partner with the business to deliver learning solutions focused on key priorities and processes for operations roles.

Identify and prioritize Operations skills training and development needs with Operations Leaders.

Conducts needs assessments and analyze performance to identify skill gaps.

Oversees content development, curriculum updates and communications for end-users.

Maintains proficiency in Operations systems, processes and workflows. Guides employees and managers to applicable learning solutions.

Incorporates and enhances existing skills management and competency development process.

Assist with instructional design and training development as applicable.

Responsible for delivering innovative ideas and methods for training delivery to maximize impact. Oversees the selection and usage of training delivery systems and certification / testing methods to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of programs. Deliver a variety of training interventions using conventional and alternative methods to best meet learner needs- principally focused on live virtual instruction, and collaborating with learning development experts to consider alternative delivery methods as applicable.

Assists in Operations training rollout and solution development for company initiatives.

Create and maintain a positive learning atmosphere that fosters student learning

Partner to deliver training programs through strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and coordination of/collaboration with Operations resources (subject matter experts and business leaders, Talent Development partners, Business Partners, IT and Center of Excellence) as well as external training resources as appropriate

Measures training return on investment (ROI) and helps to pilot test new training techniques, strategies, tools and processes to increase training effectiveness.

Partners with all stakeholders to ensure alignment in various aspects of onboarding, new initiatives and professional development. Sets expectations for program delivery, document development and document maintenance

Qualifications

Experience: 5+ years of professional experience, including training and instructional design experience.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.

Additional Role Specific Skills: Construction or experience in other strongly technical environments is preferred.

Demonstrate effective communication, organization and time management skills.

Collaborative and easily adapts to the diverse interests, styles and perspectives of key stakeholders and partners

Strong working knowledge of MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
