Procurement Manager

I am a recruiter specializing in supply chain management and I'm working with a client east of Columbus, OH recruiting for a Procurement Manager.

Below is an overview: Job Title: Procurement Manager Location: East of Columbus, OH *5 days per week onsite* Job Summary: My client, a leading industrial manufacturer, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Manager to oversee procurement operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role also offers the opportunity to drive both tactical and strategic procurement initiatives, ensuring cost, quality, and delivery targets are met.

Key Responsibilities: Manage procurement activities for mass production parts, with some involvement in new model and trial parts.

Oversee basic supplier management activities including scorecards, managing cost, quality, and delivery, and conducting supplier visits.

Lead contract negotiations with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.

Provide leadership and guidance to a team of 4 direct reports, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments to ensure alignment on procurement strategies and goals.

Balance both tactical and strategic procurement efforts to achieve business objectives.

Key Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required (preferred in Business, Supply Chain, or related field). Certifications such as CPSM, C.P.M., or other relevant credentials are preferred.

A minimum of 3+ years of management experience in a procurement role.

7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in the automotive industry or similar.

Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships.

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
