Position Summary:
The Emergency Room is a vital 12-bed unit committed to delivering excellent care to critically ill adult patients through the nursing process. You will:
Utilize critical thinking and decisive judgment while working independently in a dynamic environment.
Exhibit the ability to remain calm and take appropriate actions under stress.
Demonstrate computer proficiency as part of your daily responsibilities.
Administer care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
Document all patient care thoroughly and accurately.
Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions to the care team, physicians, patients, and their families.
Assist patients with essential daily activities such as personal hygiene, nutrition, and mobility.
Coordinate care across disciplines for patient transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support.
Assess and address the learning needs of patients and families, providing tailored education.
Act as an advocate for both the physical and emotional well-being of our patients.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Associate's degree in nursing required.
Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
Certifications:
ACLS, BCLS, PALS; NIHSS must be completed within 90 days of hire.
License:
Must hold a current Registered Nurse license in the state of Kentucky.
