Job Summary:
The Resort Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the resort to ensure a high standard of guest satisfaction, efficient staff performance, and profitability. This role involves supervising departments such as front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, maintenance, and recreational services. The Resort Manager ensures that guests enjoy a memorable experience and that the resort runs smoothly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Experience:
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
Maintain quality standards for all guest services.
Operations Management:
Oversee daily resort operations and ensure smooth coordination between departments.
Monitor occupancy, revenue, and other key performance indicators.
Implement and monitor operational policies, procedures, and standards.
Staff Supervision:
Hire, train, and supervise staff across all departments.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching.
Schedule staff and manage payroll budgets.
Financial Management:
Assist in preparing the annual budget and manage expenses to meet financial targets.
Monitor cost controls and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
Analyze financial statements and operational reports.
Marketing and Sales:
Work with the marketing team to promote the resort and attract guests.
Develop promotional campaigns and packages.
Maintain relationships with travel agents, tour operators, and online booking platforms.
Facility Management:
Ensure the resort facilities and amenities are well-maintained and safe.
Coordinate repairs and renovations as needed.
Monitor cleanliness and upkeep of all resort areas.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure compliance with local laws, health and safety regulations, and licensing requirements.
Conduct regular safety drills and staff training.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in hotel or resort management.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Strong financial acumen and budgeting experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in property management systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.
Preferred Skills:
Multilingual abilities.
Experience with luxury or all-inclusive resorts.
Familiarity with sustainability and eco-tourism initiatives.
