Job Description
Non-profit organization with a focus on historic preservation is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, experienced general ledger accountant to join our team. This position works independently as well as collaborates across departments to increase efficiency throughout the organization. This full-time position offers an on-site work environment, a downtown Fredericksburg office, and excellent benefits.
Responsibilities
Oversees the Accounts Payable, Payroll and Accounts Receivable Processing
Records and reconciles daily cash receipts.
Completes monthly bank reconciliations
Works closely with the Director of Finance and HR to streamline procedures to improve our operational efficiency.
Assists with preparation of the annual audit and 990.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years' experience in Accounting (General Ledger, Chart of Accounts, A/P, A/R, Payroll)
Proven proficiency using Microsoft 365 and a variety of accounting software.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
