Senior Mechanical Project Manager

Job Description

GEE Group is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Manager to lead major mechanical construction projects from planning through closeout. The ideal candidate brings a proven ability to manage complex projects with confidence, drive operational excellence, and deliver strong financial performance—while fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage mechanical projects from start to finish, ensuring profitability, safety, and schedule adherence

· Accurately forecast, monitor, and report on project financials to meet or exceed gross margin goals

· Lead a team-focused safety program and contribute to a culture of “best in class” safety performance

· Collaborate with VDC and fabrication teams to leverage lean construction and maximize efficiency

· Oversee procurement of major equipment, subcontracts, and long-lead items to ensure timely and cost-effective execution

· Align staffing with project requirements and budgeted overhead, in coordination with leadership

· Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and trade partners

· Support company goals by representing the organization professionally within the industry and community

Qualifications

· Demonstrated success managing individual projects exceeding $5MM and portfolios over $15MM

· Experience with union labor management and improving field productivity

· Strong financial acumen, organizational discipline, and leadership presence

· High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to client satisfaction
