Responsibilities
Client Outreach:
Initiate and maintain contact with potential clients, understanding
their business needs and offering personalized insurance solutions
Cultivate long-term relationships with clients
Identify and cultivate new business opportunities in the commercial insurance market
Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads
Policy Development:
Craft insurance policies tailored to commercial clients, taking into account their specific industry needs and risks
Cultivate long-term relationships with underwriters and industry partners
Collaborate with underwriters and carriers to secure competitive quotes
Consistently meet or exceed sales goals and performance benchmarks regarding policy acquisitions.
Relationship Management:
Cultivate long-term relationships with clients to ensure ongoing satisfaction and loyalty to the agency
Provide exceptional service before, during, and after the sale
Educate clients on coverage options and policy benefits
Negotiation:
Skillfully negotiate terms with insurance providers to offer competitive pricing and coverage options
Market Analysis:
Stay informed about industry trends and market conditions to provide innovative and relevant insurance solutions
Conduct risk assessments and prepare tailored insurance proposals
Stay current with industry trends, carrier products, and regulatory requirements
Networking:
Build and maintain a strong network within the business community to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities
Team Culture:
Provide support to the Personal lines team when necessary
Collaborate with internal team members to ensure seamless onboarding and account servicing
Requirements
Licensing:
Valid and current Ohio Property and Casualty License is required for consideration.
Experience:
Minimum of3 years in insurance sales, preferably in a commercial context.
Experience with CRM software and proficiency in using agency management system (e.g. EZ Lynx).
Experience in and strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and underwriting practices.
Communication:
Exemplary verbal &written communication skills along with exceptional negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Self-Motivated:
Demonstrated ability to work independently, remotely and take initiative.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Goal-oriented with a drive for success
Networking Skills:
Strong ability to build and sustain relationships with prospective clients with a proven track record of successful lead generation and closing.
Problem Solver:
Skills in identifying client needs and providing effective insurance solutions.
