Location: Winchester, KY or Orlando, FL (On-site with up to 60% travel)
Position Summary:
A mid-level engineering opportunity focused on driving process improvements and supporting capital projects within a plastics manufacturing environment. This role supports a key production facility and will work closely with leadership to ensure operational efficiency, continuous improvement, and quality excellence across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead plant-level initiatives related to manufacturing process control and optimization.
Drive capital project initiatives from proposal through execution, including budgeting and vendor management.
Apply Six Sigma, TQM, and Lean methodologies to improve productivity and reduce waste.
Conduct process audits, identify inefficiencies, and implement sustainable solutions.
Collaborate cross-functionally with production, maintenance, and engineering teams.
Serve as a subject matter expert on plastics and injection molding operations.
Report to the Senior Director of Engineering and support North American operations as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sciences, or a related field—or equivalent hands-on experience.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting.
Strong background in plastics processing, particularly injection molding.
Demonstrated experience owning capital projects from concept through implementation.
Familiarity with extrusion, tooling, and molding systems preferred.
Experience in process development, training, and SOP creation is highly desired.
Strong communication, organizational, and technical documentation skills.
Additional Information:
This role requires domestic travel up to 60% of the time.
