Superintendent

Job Summary:

Our client is a well established and growing company in the Falls Church area. We are looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead a team building multifamily residential projects.

This role is responsible for managing daily job site operations, coordinating subcontractors and materials, maintaining schedules, and ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all on-site construction activities

Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel

Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, building codes, and safety regulations

Maintain construction schedules

Conduct daily site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work

Manage and enforce site safety, cleanliness, and OSHA compliance

Communicate regularly with project managers, architects, engineers

Track and manage deliveries, inventory, and use of materials and equipment

Review and approve timesheets, daily logs, and project documentation

Lead site meetings and provide progress updates and reports

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience as a construction superintendent, preferably with multifamily residential projects

Strong knowledge of building systems, site logistics, sequencing, and construction best practices

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project)

OSHA 30 certification required; First Aid/CPR a plus
