Aerotek is hiring for a fabricator/MIG welder for a facility in the south memphis area. If interested and qualified, please apply for immediate consideration or email resume to

Shift: 2nd Shift (6 days a week) 4p-2:30a mon-thurs. fri 3p-12:30a, sat 2p-10:30p currently working 6 days a week.

Pay: $20-25/hr ( depending on experience)

Job Description

This position involves working on fabricating steel tracks used in manufacturing companies. Candidates will be responsible for reading detailed blueprints and schematics, gathering necessary parts from work orders or cut sheets, and fabricating from raw steel. The fabrication process requires understanding metric measurements, radius, and simple geometry, as measurements are based on a circular model from a center line.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret detailed blueprints and schematics.

Collect necessary parts as detailed in work orders or cut sheets.

Fabricate steel conveyor tracks from raw steel.

Set up fabrication station using blueprints and jigs.

Build large steel conveyor systems from start to finish.

Operate cranes and other equipment for part transportation.

Perform grinding and finishing tasks.

Essential Skills

Expertise in fabrication and blueprint reading.

Proficiency in MIG welding and steel fabrication.

Experience with crane operation.

Understanding of metric measurements and geometry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

At least 2 years of MIG fabrication experience with raw steel; schooling preferred.

5-10 years of experience for higher pay rates.

Ability to operate forklifts and hoists.

Work Environment
