Location: JFK Airport, Duty-Free Stores
Shift: 11:00 PM - 6:00 AM (Flexible, 4 or 8-hour shifts)
Position Overview:
Go Local Promotions Inc., a leading Experiential Marketing Agency rapidly growing in the Travel Retail segment, is seeking a skilled Visual Installer / Handyman to join our team for a late-night, early-morning shift (11 PM - 6 AM) at the Duty-Free stores located in NYC Airports and local markets.
This role is 80% visual installations and 20% basic handyman work. Candidates should be flexible, highly skilled, detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a team to ensure installations and repairs are completed efficiently and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
Visual Installation & Maintenance:
Communicate with creative and production teams to understand activation.
Install and maintain visual elements, including signage, graphics, displays, lighting fixtures, and promotional materials.
Coordinate with the team lead to ensure timely matter on all activation and or repair.
Troubleshoot and solve issues during installations, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship.
Maintain safety standards and guidelines for all installation and repair work.
Perform general repairs to store fixtures and retail displays, including shelving, acrylics, and gondola systems.
Keep an accurate inventory of materials and fixtures for installations and maintenance, documenting all executed work and assets with pictures on organized logs.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Previous experience in visual installation, maintenance, or handyman work, preferably within the printing, experiential marketing, retail, or event industries.
Proficiency in using installation tools and equipment, with a strong eye for design aesthetics and attention to detail.
Experience in repairs and maintenance of store fixtures, displays, and other materials.
Skills & Abilities:
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Physical stamina to lift and carry heavy objects.
Tools & Transportation:
Preferably, you have your own tools and a reliable vehicle to transport supplies and materials to the job site. (Not mandatory)
Additional Requirements:
Must have up-to-date documentation to work in the USA.
Ability to pass a security background check to obtain the necessary airport access badge.
OSHA Certifications (Not mandatory but will be required if onboarded)
Electrical certifications or any other industrial work certifications are a plus!
