Professional Mover/Helper - 2 - CC

Job Description

A moving company is seeking individuals to load and unload products in and out of trucks. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4:30 or 5 p.m.

Job Duties:

· Load and unload vehicles by hand or by using a hand truck or dolly

· Wrap furniture with blankets to prevent damage

· Wrap dishes and fragile items in packing paper and pack into containers

· Pad, stack, and secure items in position on truck to prevent damage

· Deliver and stack shipment on customer’s premises

· Assist in cleaning truck, tools, and equipment

· Collect or pick up empty containers and packing materials

· Wear uniform acceptable to company

Qualifications:

· Three to six months related experience is preferred

· Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner

· Must have the ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations and respond promptly to customer needs, requests, and assistance

· Must have excellent communication skills

· Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds, frequently 100 pounds, and occasionally more than 100 pounds

· Must have work boots

· Must have the ability to follow all policies and procedures

· Must be at work every day and on time.

· Must have a polite and friendly personality with a neat appearance

· Must be able to maintain confidentiality
