Role:
BackgroundConnect, a business-to-business background screening firm, is seeking a driven and adaptable Client Success & Growth Assistant with room for advancement. This role is ideal for someone who is internally motivated, organized, coachable, and eager to grow. You'll support both client service and growth initiatives while learning valuable skills in sales, marketing, and operations.
You will primarily be responsible for providing customer support and identifying, engaging, and nurturing potential clients to expand our client base. This role involves strategic outreach, follow-up communications, tracking key sales metrics, and supporting operational and marketing initiatives. The Client Success and Growth Assistant will be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to building strong relationships with prospective and current clients.
Responsibilities:
Operational & Administrative Support
Answer office phone and respond to client inquires via phone and email.
Assist with applicant communications, data entry, and general operational tasks.
Sales & Client Engagement Support
Schedule discovery calls and product demos with prospective clients.
Maintain detailed notes in the CRM system (e.g., meeting summaries, email follow-ups).
Set follow-up tasks after each client interaction to ensure timely engagement.
Track and report on key sales metrics: close rates, company size, and sales cycle length.
Marketing & Outreach
Create and distribute monthly newsletters to both clients and prospects.
Assist with social media posting and brand awareness efforts.
Research and recommend relevant HR events and networking opportunities.
Collaborate with management to brainstorm and implement new marketing strategies.
Prospecting & Lead Nurturing
Send a minimum of 10 LinkedIn messages or emails per week to prospective clients using approved templates.
Track all outreach and responses in a weekly report to management.
Implement a “3 Touch System” for follow-ups.
Tailor follow-up messaging by client type (e.g., former clients, industry-specific).
Key Metrics / How Success Is Measured:
Growth in social media following (monthly)
Growth in email list (monthly)
Number of consultations or demos booked from outreach efforts (monthly)
Timeliness of responses to client inquiries
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Comfort learning and following structured outreach systems
Familiarity with CRM tools is a plus

This is a hybrid role based in Houston, combining in-office and remote work.
