Required:

5+ years of progressive experience in construction quality assurance, including leadership or management roles.

College degree (Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management, Architecture, or a related field) is preferred but not required.

Preferred certifications include:

Certified Construction Quality Manager (CCQM)

AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or Senior Certified Welding Inspector (SCWI)

Electrical-focused credentials such as NICET, NFPA certifications, or equivalent

Demonstrated expertise in construction quality control processes, industry standards, and regulations.

Proven leadership skills, including strategic thinking, team motivation, and the ability to influence at all levels.

Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholder groups.

Proficiency with quality management software, data analysis, and advanced reporting tools.

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel 25-50% to project sites and regional offices.

Responsibilities:

Strategic & Succession Leadership:

Act as a primary leadership resource for quality assurance matters, with the potential to advance to Vice President of Safety and Quality.

Provide visionary direction for the continuous improvement of current quality programs, aligning with mission and strategic objectives.

Serve as a role model, building trust and fostering a high-performance culture across project teams and within the organization.

Quality Control & Assurance:

Oversee and enhance established quality control processes that meet or exceed project specifications, codes, and industry standards.

Conduct or coordinate regular audits, inspections, and constructability reviews to address potential issues proactively.

Ensure strong collaboration with suppliers and subcontractors to uphold rigorous quality standards throughout the supply chain.

Team Leadership & Networking:

Build, mentor, and empower a diverse quality assurance team, facilitating opportunities for professional development.

Network internally and externally to identify and secure the right talent, expertise, and resources needed for each project’s success.

Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and open communication across all levels of the organization.

Safety & Compliance:

Partner with Safety leadership to align quality and safety objectives, ensuring a cohesive approach to risk mitigation.

Interpret and enforce compliance with company, client, and government regulations related to construction methods, emphasizing a safety-first mindset.

Contribute to maintaining an injury-free environment through visible leadership and consistent messaging.

Documentation & Reporting:

Oversee thorough documentation of quality assurance processes, including inspections, test results, non-compliant conditions, and corrective actions.

Prepare and deliver clear, data-driven quality reports for senior management, project teams, and external stakeholders.

Ensure project-specific quality plans remain up-to-date and accurate in alignment with contract documents.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify and address systemic quality issues, leading corrective and preventive action plans that focus on root-cause resolution.

Utilize feedback from completed projects to refine processes and implement best practices for future endeavors.

Leverage internal quality assurance systems and tools to drive innovation and efficiency.

Client & Stakeholder Relations:

Establish and nurture strong relationships with owners, regulatory bodies, manufacturers’ representatives, and third-party consultants.

Proactively address client concerns around quality, ensuring satisfaction and trust in project delivery.

Collaborate with project leadership to complete subcontractor quality performance evaluations at each project’s conclusion. Company Description
