JOB SUMMARY:
NRTC Broadband Solutions is seeking experienced Project Managers for projects across the United States. The Project Manager at NRTC Broadband Solutions will oversee all project schedules, budgets, and reporting for various projects. These projects typically involve OSP Construction of fiber optics and Network Electronics, including Head-End installation and activation. This role supports the Member project deliverables and manages project processes, vendors, contracts, and intra-company coordination on behalf of the Member.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as a Primary Point of Contact for the Member
Manage Member expectations and concerns regarding service availability, installation timelines, and potential risks
Collaborate with Member Executives and Program Managers to understand member needs and ensure seamless transitions
Develop detailed project plans for new broadband service deployments, including network design, infrastructure requirements, installation schedules, and resource allocation
Manage and drive project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure on-time completion within budget constraints
Escalate at risk project deliverables, perform risk mitigation and ensure related stakeholder communications
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) like quality, construction progress, homes passed, and subscriber take rates
Analyze KPI data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
Generate regular reports for stakeholders outlining project progress, challenges, and mitigation strategies
Manage multiple projects simultaneously
Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams to design and implement network architecture, including fiber optic cabling, network equipment configuration, and service activation
Foster a culture of proactive communication and teamwork within Project Management, and with other internal departments; closely align with all departments involved in the project including Business Development, OSP/ISP Design, OSP Construction, Procurement, Finance and other relevant Subject Matter Experts
Manage material and construction RFPs process for Members and PMO
Oversee the accurate ordering of equipment and processing of material and assist member with monitoring inventory
Manage Vendor coordination and performance to support project budget and schedule
Other related duties as assigned
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Proven experience in managing complex projects from initiation to closure with a focus on meeting deadlines and budgets
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize and organize effectively, show judgment to make decisions and solve problems under pressure
Strong understanding of broadband network technologies and OSP construction
Excellent computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office, NetSuite & Smartsheet
Excellent interpersonal and verbal communications skills
Ability to interact in a positive and proactive manner with internal and external stakeholders
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
A combination of education and relevant experience may be substituted for degree
PMP Preferred
Complex Project Scheduling methodology and application
Broadband/Telecommunications Project Management, Construction, Budgeting experience – 5 years
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to travel as required 30%
