Maintenance Technician

Indianapolis, IN

3rd shift (Mon-Fri) $40/hr. Direct Hire!

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to support our production operations by ensuring all equipment and machinery are maintained and operating efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in industrial maintenance, with strong troubleshooting abilities across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in food or beverage manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on production machinery, utilities, and support equipment.

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment to minimize downtime.

Respond promptly to maintenance work orders and emergencies to ensure continuous production.

Inspect and test machinery and equipment after repairs to confirm proper functioning.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.

Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times.

Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades.

Maintain cleanliness and organization in the maintenance areas.

Preferred Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or associate degree in industrial maintenance or related field is a plus.

3+ years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance role.

Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems, motors, PLCs, conveyors, pumps, and gearboxes.

Proven experience in food or beverage manufacturing is highly preferred, with understanding of GMPs, sanitary design, and regulatory requirements.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.

Familiarity with CMMS software for tracking maintenance tasks.

Must be able to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, if needed.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.

Stand, walk, and work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods.

Work in varying temperatures and conditions based on production needs.
