CNC Machinist Programmer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience with CNC machinery. The ideal candidate would be familiar with Okuma and fanuc controls. This role is crucial in producing high-quality components that meet precise specifications and tolerances. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines while ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.

Duties

Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes and milling machines, to produce parts according to specifications.

Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to ensure dimensional accuracy.

Interpret technical drawings and blueprints, applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.

Perform regular maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Troubleshoot machining issues, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality production.

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and enhance product quality.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines.

Experience

Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.

Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in electrical discharge machining (EDM) is preferred.

Proficiency in using basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.

Familiarity with welding techniques is a plus.

Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including CAD drawings and specifications.

Experience with precision measuring instruments and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).

Knowledge of GD&T principles is highly desirable.

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
