EMP-TO-HIRE/ MUST HAVE CMM EXPERIENCE
7:30am-4:00pm Monday - Friday
Pay Rate: $40/hr.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled CMM Programmer with experience in CATIA software, 5-axis CNC machines, and familiarity with HAAS machining centers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming and operating CMM equipment to perform precise dimensional inspections, supporting quality assurance efforts, and optimizing production through advanced CAD/CAM and CNC capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain CMM inspection programs using PC-DMIS (or other software) based on 3D models and 2D prints.
Use CATIA V5/V6 to interpret CAD files and create tool paths and inspection models.
Inspect precision machined components for conformance to GD&T and customer specifications.
Collaborate with machinists and engineers to troubleshoot dimensional issues and improve manufacturing processes.
Support 5-axis CNC machining operations, including reviewing programs and verifying setups.
Operate and perform basic troubleshooting on HAAS CNC machines, assisting in production as needed.
Maintain accurate records of inspection results and quality documentation.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to manufacturing and inspection.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in CMM programming and inspection in a precision manufacturing environment.
Proficient in CATIA software for modeling and CNC programming.
Solid understanding of 5-axis machining concepts and G-code fundamentals.
Familiarity with HAAS machines and their controls (e.g., HAAS VF, UMC series).
Strong knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and quality standards (AS9100, ISO 9001, etc.).
Ability to work from engineering drawings, CAD files, and verbal instructions.
Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred:
Experience with PC-DMIS, MODUS, and CATIA software.
Background in aerospace, defense, manufacturing.
CNC machining experience or certification is a plus.
