Job Description

Family oriented heating oil and propane company seeking an experienced and licensed HVAC technician to join our team. MA Oil burner license required. Experience with Propane service and installation a definite plus.

Service and install HVAC equipment parts and associated systems in residential homes. Shifts include days, nights, weekends, holidays and paid overtime .

Assess equipment and service needs of customer

Install or properly clean equipment as required to provide the highest standards of reliability and dependability that our customers demand.

Perform efficiency tests on all combustion related repairs and installations

Maintain assigned work schedule for on time performance to meet customer expectations.

Properly and accurately service heating and air conditioning systems and equipment to finish the job the first time / on time without callbacks.

Prepare accurate daily paperwork and record keeping of all customer service calls, parts used and resulting necessary truck inventory replenishment per published listing in truck.

Communicate with Service Dispatcher, Service Supervisor and Management for latest work assignments.

Utilize all applicable safety and personal protective equipment (PPE)

Identify revenue-generating opportunities; make recommendations to customer that can be immediately performed - rewards available

Exhibit courteous and helpful behavior towards customers, their homes and third parties, present professional appearance while maintaining the high quality reputation that Surner Heating has earned over the years. This includes but is not limited to ensuring that the customer site is left in better condition than it was found.

Need strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to work independently as well as with a team.

Keep Service Vans in neat and orderly condition at all times.
