Motion Designer Video Editor

Job Description

Russell Tobin & Associates is currently seeking a Motion Designer + Video Editor on a remote basis, 6+ Months Contract role for one of our direct relationship clients.

Title: Motion Designer + Video Editor

100% Remote

6+ Months Contract with possible extensions

Pay: $55 - $65 per hour on w2

What You'll Do

• Work through complex storytelling problems to create beautiful and thoughtful work

• Support art directors and designers in daily motion design work, including but not limited to:

storyboards and animatics, iterating on motion design solutions and reviewing assets for quality control

• Demonstrate expertise in motion design, pacing, composition, layout, creative thinking and strategy

• Identify, source + edit on-brand music and audio into creative output

• Explore, propose and execute motion design solutions for a variety of problems that may take the form of in-product ads, sizzle and event recap videos and exec social assets

• Generate a high volume of iterations toward solutions in a quick time frame

• Seeks feedback and coordinates/aligns one's work with others' activities

• Displays a high level of craft and conceptual thinking

• Remain curious, with an eye on culture and society

• Remains focused and inquisitive in the face of ambiguity and change

Skills

• 3-5 years of industry experience

• Experience in concepting and delivering strong storytelling through motion design and video editing

• Demonstrable experience in an iterative, co-creative motion design and video editing process

• A strong collaborator: experience working with partners to develop concepts through final execution

• Hands-on creation of design assets, storyboards, animatics, and final videos

• Comfort with ambiguity and working quickly

• Excellent writing and communication skills

• Experience with all of the tools – After Effects, Premier, Figma

• Ability to address and prioritize multiple projects at once
