Title: CL/ QA Inspector

Reports to: Quality Supervisor

Location: Holland, MI

LG Energy Solution Michigan Inc. (LGESMI) develops and manufactures large lithium-ion polymer batteries and packs for electric vehicle (EV) and energy storage applications. Come join the leader in advanced EV batteries!

Summary:

The Crew Leader will ensure the quality of incoming material and components. Responsibilities may include creating reports using computer, and use of electrical and/or analytical equipment for quality inspections. Respirator fit and qualification are required. Additionally, responsibilities include conducting quality checks, engage in trouble-shooting and basic equipment maintenance in multiple quality labs.

Responsibilities:

Ability to work well with individuals and teams across the company to ensure the team meets or exceeds expectations

Ensure work is completed in a safe manner and maintain a safe working environment

Provide Leadership, support minor people issues and escalating to SQA Supervisor

Organize and Coordinate QA inspectors work assignments, scheduling and attendance (Including traveling to off-site warehouse)

Delegate team members and ensure members are following standard work processes

Guide and assist with training QA Inspectors

Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Pay close attention to detail

Understand all QA area processes

Verify correct data to ensure a quality product

Read and assist with creating work orders, instructions, formulas and flow charts

Being self-directed to work individually on tasks, while also communicating to your team

Check equipment regularly to ensure normal operating activity

Engage in basic troubleshooting and report issues if not resolved

Grade, classify, or sort products according to specifications

Check product and production process for desired quality to specifications

Monitor data from measuring devices

Assist with calibration of equipment

Assist Engineer's with program and model changes

Assist with QA Inspectors training and bi annual evaluation check sheets

Provide back up support to QA Supervisor(s) and Engineers

Conduct thorough and timely Layered Process Audits in appropriate work areas

Ensuring proper inventory, consumables and supplies are well stocked and notifying Production Coordinator to place orders prior to depletion

Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:

Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain

Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container

Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required

Vocational Certificate or Associates Degree preferred or equivalent, relevant experience Experience:

1 to 3 years of related work experience

2+ years of experience with analytical, and/or electrical testing equipment

Experience with mentoring and leading people highly desired Skills:

MS Office Suite Physical Requirements:

Must be able to properly and regularly utilize the following PPE for a period of up to 12 hours

Safety glasses

Steel-toed shoes

Respirator (Must be clean shaven)

Must be able to do the following repeatedly for a period of up to 12 hours

Lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds

Stoop, twist, bend

Reach overhead

Sit and/or stand

Use of hands and fingers to perform job function

Apply
