Job Title: Mechanical Estimator - HVAC / Plumbing

Company Overview:

Our client is a mid-sized mechanical contractor specializing in commercial plumbing and mechanical design/build construction within the Baltimore/DC Metro Market. They are seeking an experienced Plumbing and Mechanical Estimator to join their mechanical team, focusing on developing bids and proposals for plumbing, pipefitting, and HVAC projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Review plans and specifications to determine project scope and estimate requirements.

Attend pre-bid meetings as necessary to gather pertinent project information.

Perform material takeoffs and assess subcontractor requirements for accurate bidding.

Prepare requests for proposals for suppliers and subcontractors regarding specific project items.

Actively participate in bid strategy sessions and presentation meetings as requested.Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Trimble/Quick-Pen software.

Strong knowledge of plumbing, piping, and mechanical trades.

Minimum of 8-10 years of experience estimating in commercial plumbing and mechanical sectors.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and work independently as well as collaboratively.Some of the Benefits Include:
