Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
Rebuild, troubleshoot, and perform repairs on locomotive engines as needed
Change injectors, blowers, turbos, power assemblies, main generators, engines, cams, bearings, governors, etc.
Work is mostly performed in shop but can include travel and working outside with mobile equipment
REQUIREMENTS
Experience working in Diesel Engines (Prefer Locomotive Engine Experience)
Minimum 2 years experience of automotive or diesel experience
Prefer Vocational training or high school diploma
Must own required tools
Must have a valid Florida Drivers License
Must be able to pass background screening
Must have a positive attitude and willing to grow in the position
Regular attendance is a MUST
Ability to work overtime during the week and weekend is essential
Overnight travel stays may be required
Ability to stand, walk, crawl, lay, and sit
Visual and hand dexterity is necessary
Must be able to move/lift 50 lbs
Ability to self supervise
Perform all mechanical tasks and other duties as assigned
SCHEDULE & PAY
Monday - Friday
Some weekends
OT
Some travel may be required
Pay depends on experience, knowledge, and tools owned
$18-$35 DOE
