Electrician

Job Description

NCW is looking to fill upcoming electrician openings in Virginia. Candidates should have a strong background in commercial or industrial electrical work, including conduit installation, wiring, troubleshooting, and reading blueprints.

Travel Electricians strongly encouraged to apply. Per diem offered for travelers.

Duties

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).

Utilize hand tools and testing equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues.

Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.

Conduct inspections of electrical components to ensure proper functionality and safety standards.

Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction projects, including frame carpentry tasks as needed.

Ensure all work is performed safely and efficiently while adhering to company policies and industry regulations.

Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices or less experienced electricians.

Experience

Proven experience as an Electrician, preferably in an industrial setting.

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including high voltage applications.

Familiarity with NEC standards and regulations is essential.

Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.

Experience with hand tools and testing equipment specific to the electrical trade.

Previous experience in building or construction environments is a plus.
