Paralegal - Contract Review

Hybrid out of the MPLS headquarters

Duration: 6-8 week project

Pay Rate: $30-60/hr with flex for more senior candidates

Position Summary:

This is a contract-based role requiring an experienced legal professional to conduct a comprehensive review and analysis of existing contractual agreements. The ideal candidate will bring experience in pharmaceutical and clinical research settings, with working knowledge of data licensing, intellectual property, and potentially cell therapy. The role is not tied to a merger or acquisition but rather aims to assess and streamline the organization’s contractual framework.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and summarize a broad range of existing contracts, including clinical research, data licensing, and vendor agreements.

Identify and document key contract terms such as termination clauses, renewal provisions, and rights/obligations.

Assess contract completeness and flag potential missing elements or inconsistencies.

Navigate and interpret multi-layered contract amendments to ensure accurate understanding of the current terms.

Provide insight and advice to the legal team based on findings from contract analysis.

Support the development of an organized view of the existing contract landscape for future strategic planning.

Qualifications:

Paralegal certificate or equivalent legal training required.

Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a legal environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical, clinical research, or life sciences sectors.

Familiarity with data licensing, intellectual property, and regulatory frameworks relevant to clinical trials and/or cell therapy.

Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.

Experience reviewing complex and layered contractual documents, including amendments.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management systems.

Experience with health insurance contracts is a plus but not required.Company Description
