Description
As a Payroll Administrator at Scharmach Automotive Group, you will manage all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. Your attention to detail and knowledge of payroll compliance will help maintain employee satisfaction and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Process bi-weekly and semimonthly payroll for all employees, including calculating wages, overtime, commissions, and deductions.
Maintain accurate payroll records, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Handle employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and taxes, providing prompt and professional resolution.
Collaborate with the HR department to update payroll records for new hires, terminations, promotions, and changes in benefits.
Reconcile payroll accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Stay informed of changes in payroll regulations and implement necessary updates to ensure compliance.
Support year-end processes, including W-2 preparation and distribution.
Timely electronic and physical filing of employee documents.
Other duties as assigned.
Pay will start between $28.00 and $38.00 an hour based on experience
Qualifications
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
3+ years of experience in payroll administration or a related role.
Strong knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and tax compliance.
Proficiency with payroll software and systems (e.g., ADP, Paycom) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work with sensitive information discreetly.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with dealership operations and commission-based payroll is required.
