Responsibilities and Duties
Prepare, cook, and present food according to standard recipes in order to create quality food products. Assists the food and beverage department in preparation of all items for the food and beverage outlets and public meeting spaces.
Cooks items for breakfast and meeting functions on a timely and efficient basis.
Organizes the kitchen to respond in a prompt and efficient manner to all guest orders and controls presentation consistency and quality food per property & company standards.
Reviews on a daily basis all upcoming events and advises the General Manager of purchasing requirements for those events and all items used on a daily basis.
Reports any equipment in need of repair to the General Manager for repair.
Performs general/routine cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by the General Manager to adhere to health standards.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Any combination of education, training, and/or experience that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform. Grade school education is preferred.
Thorough knowledge of food products, standard recipes, and proper preparation.
Knowledge of operating all kitchen equipment, i.e., stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, steamers, kettles, sous vide, etc.
Prior hospitality experience preferred.
Ability to obtain any government required food service licenses or certifications.
