Description

Job Summary:

The Quality Control Technician (QC Technician) will be responsible for performing inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality specifications and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine inspections and testing of raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods according to established quality standards and specifications.

Document and maintain accurate records of inspection results, test data, and non-conformance reports, ensuring data integrity and compliance with quality protocols.

Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures, guidelines, and best practices.

Identify and report any quality issues or non-conformities to the production team and management, recommending corrective actions as needed.

Perform calibration and maintenance of laboratory and testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Collaborate with production teams to address quality concerns and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Participate in training programs to stay updated on quality control methodologies and industry standards.

Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and data related to quality control processes.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or a related field is preferred.

Previous experience in quality control or laboratory testing, preferably in the manufacturing or paint industry.

Strong understanding of quality control principles, testing methods, and inspection techniques.

Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and analytical tools for quality testing.

Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with quality management software.

Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 75 pounds) and perform physical tasks as needed.

Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment

Ensure the integrity of the QMS is maintained, conformance to the ISO 9001:2015 standard.
